Cuttings recieved will be wrapped in Buddy Tape (parafilm) it is not necessary to remove the wrapping, it helps keep moisture and humidity high in the scion and the leaves will grow right through the tape, make a 45 degree cut at the base of the cutting and dip in rooting hormone, place in moist well draining soil for the best results. Keep out of direct sunlight and place them in a spot with filtered sunlight.
Ice cream bean (Inga edulis) can be propagated from stem cuttings. Here are the steps to grow ice cream bean from cuttings:
Dip the cut end of the cutting in rooting hormone.
Plant the cutting in a pot filled with a well-draining soil mixture, making sure that the soil is moist.
Cover the pot with a clear plastic sheet to create a humid environment.
Place the pot in indirect sunlight and maintain a temperature of around 70-80°F.
Water the cutting regularly to keep the soil moist.
In about 4-6 weeks, the ice cream bean cutting should have developed roots and can be transplanted into a bigger pot or outdoors.
