Originating from Bangladesh and northeastern India. Its name is commonly used in Bangladesh, and the variety is popular in local markets there. Trees typically produce medium to large fruit that develop a greenish‑yellow to slightly reddish blush when mature. The flesh is known for being juicy, aromatic, and mostly fiber‑free, with a sweet, tropical flavor appreciated in South Asian mango‑eating cultures. The seed is generally monoembryonic.
Borsha trees tend to be moderately vigorous with a spreading habit. In tropical climates, Borsha mangos are usually harvested in the mid to late mango season, often around July to August, depending on local conditions. The cultivar does not have widespread commercial presence outside its region of origin, which means detailed performance data in Florida or other subtropical areas is limited.
