Cecilove is a modern mango selection derived from Carrie within Gary Zill’s breeding program in Boynton Beach, Florida. It is believed to be pollinated by Zill Indochinese (Zinc), which places it firmly in the Indochinese-hybrid flavor class. The selection was originally labeled 34-24 and later named Cecilove by Richard Campbell.

The fruit is small to medium in size with an ovate shape and ripens to a yellow skin. Inside, the flesh is deep yellow, completely fiberless, and highly refined in flavor. When slightly underripe, a bright tart edge is present, which gradually mellows into a rich, syrupy sweetness as the fruit fully matures, often with subtle cola-like undertones. Sugar levels are notably high for a mango, frequently measuring in the low 20s Brix range. The seed is monoembryonic, and ripening occurs during the mid-season window.

Tree growth is slow and naturally compact, forming a dense canopy. This growth habit places Cecilove solidly in the dwarf category, making it well suited for smaller yards or high-density plantings.

Cecilove is regarded as a standout newer cultivar, combining exceptional eating quality with strong disease tolerance and a restrained growth habit. Its flavor profile rivals other notable Zinc-related selections such as Venus, Sweet Tart, and Buttercream, making it an excellent choice for Florida mango growers.
