Corne is a mango from Haiti, also known locally in some areas as ‘Jean Marie’. It is a consistent and reliable producer in Florida.
The fruit are small, oblong, and yellow at maturity. Flesh is sweet and rich but very fibrous, with a polyembryonic seed. Flavor falls within the classic mango profile.
Trees are moderately vigorous with a spreading, open canopy. Corne is an early-season mango, typically ripening from June through July, and can bloom twice, producing multiple crops in spring and summer. Both flowers and fruit are prone to anthracnose, though disease management allows for dependable production.
