Crystal is a mango from Gary Zill’s breeding program in Boynton Beach, Florida, originating as a Zill-80 seedling (planting #1-29).
The fruit are large, round, and yellow at maturity. Flesh is firm, fiberless, and has a classic subacid flavor. The seed is monoembryonic. Crystal is a late-season mango, typically maturing from July through August.
Trees are moderately vigorous with a spreading growth habit. The cultivar has demonstrated strong disease resistance and promising potential as a reliable late-season variety.
