Delores is a Keitt seedling from Gary Zill’s breeding program in Boynton Beach, FL (planting # D-24), with 'Gary' possibly as the pollinating parent.
The fruit is large and oval, turning yellowish at maturity. The flesh is soft, fiberless, and aromatic, with a flavor in the Gary-Citrus group—rich, sweet, and with pronounced citrus notes. The skin is medium-thick and separates easily from the flesh at peak ripeness. The fruit contains a monoembryonic seed.
Delores is a later-season cultivar, and the tree has a moderately vigorous growth habit with a spreading, open canopy similar to Keitt. Slow fruiting
