Duncan is a mango selected by David Sturrock in West Palm Beach, Florida, as an Edward seedling crossed with a Philippine mango. It was named for Ralph Duncan of Boynton Beach. The seedling was approach-grafted to a mature stump to accelerate fruiting, producing its first fruit roughly two years after planting.

The fruit are medium-sized, yellow, with fiberless yellow flesh and an Indochinese/Philippine-type flavor. The seed is monoembryonic. Duncan is a late-June to early-August variety, with later fruit often considered superior in quality.

Trees are low-vigor with a spreading growth habit, making them very manageable. Duncan exhibits exceptional disease resistance, including against anthracnose, powdery mildew, and bacterial spot, and performs well in humid areas without spraying. It is one of the few patented Florida mango cultivars.

We do not sell or propagate this variety.
