Giselle is from Gary Zill's breeding program in Boynton Beach, FL (planting number 35-6) and is a seedling of a mango called "Tower." It was developed as a juice-type mango and named after Gary Zill's wife.

The fruit are medium-sized, ovoid, and develop a reddish blush on the skin. The flesh is dark yellow to orange, very juicy with minimal fiber, and the flavor belongs to the Indian/West Indian group, comparable to a top-quality Graham mango. The seed is small and polyembryonic.

The trees are highly vigorous, upright growers with dense canopies. The fruit ripens in the later mid-season, primarily in July and sometimes into August. Fruit production is good, though the variety is very prone to mango bacterial black spot, making it more suitable for drier climates such as southern California or central/West Florida.
