This mango is widely regarded as a national fruit of Indonesia, where it originated and remains highly popular. The name is commonly spelled Harumanis.
The fruit is oblong and ripens to a light yellow exterior, while the interior often remains green even when fully mature. Flesh color is orange, completely fiberless, and mildly sweet with a classic mango flavor profile. The seed is polyembryonic.
Trees are known for relatively slow, compact growth, making them manageable in size. The variety ripens early to mid-summer, typically June through July, and shows strong potential for heavy and consistent production in suitable climates.
