Hodson is a historic mango from Miami, Florida, prized for its striking appearance. The fruit are small and round, ripening to a vibrant red that makes them stand out in any grove. Inside, the flesh is yellow, completely fiberless, and offers a smooth, classic mango flavor. The seed is monoembryonic.
The tree itself is compact and dwarf-like, making it ideal for smaller spaces or container planting. Both flowers and fruit have shown strong resistance to common mango diseases. Hodson ripens early to mid-season, generally from June through July, providing a reliable early crop for home growers.
