Top Tier Mango Alert!!
Honey Kiss is a Keitt seedling from Gary Zill’s breeding program in Boynton Beach, FL (planting number 43-26), saved from being discarded by Walter Zill when he observed its productivity. The name “Honey Kiss” (sometimes written as “Honeykiss”) was given in recognition of its sweet flavor.
The fruit are small to medium, turning yellow with occasional pink blush near maturity. The flesh is firm, fiberless, and belongs to the classic flavor group, offering a sweet, crowd-pleasing taste. The seed is small and polyembryonic.
The tree is generally slow-growing with low vigor and a spreading habit, often behaving like a dwarf, though some trees grow more moderately. It shows excellent resistance to diseases, including bacterial black spot and powdery mildew.
Honey Kiss is a late-season mango, typically ripening from late July into August in West Palm Beach.
