Mabrouka is an Egyptian mango originating on an island in the Nile River. Its name, given by an Englishman named Fisher, translates to “Blessed.”
The fruit is small, oval-ovate with a characteristic beak at the bottom, turning yellow at maturity with some red blush at the top. The flesh is firm, yellow, with minimal fiber, offering a mild Indian/West Indian–type flavor. It is often compared in taste to varieties like Rosa or Extrema.
