This mango originated on the property of D.H. Martin in West Palm Beach, Florida. Its exact parentage was never formally recorded, though a USDA genetic pedigree analysis in 2005 suggested Mulgoba as one of its parents.

The fruit are medium to large and are sometimes nicknamed the “Pot Belly mango” due to their distinctive, bulging shape. The flesh is yellow, contains a monoembryonic seed, and falls into the classic flavor group, though the eating quality tends to be mild and can come across as insipid when compared to higher-quality cultivars.

The trees are vigorous growers with a spreading growth habit. The fruit have shown a high susceptibility to Neofusicoccum rot, which significantly limits reliability and overall quality. Due to these issues, the variety is generally not considered a strong performer for fruit production. Interestingly, portions of the cultivar were later found growing within an original Duncan mango tree, likely the result of historical grafting work attributed to David Sturrock.
