Okrung (sometimes spelled Okrong) is a Thai mango introduced to Florida in 1973. The fruit is small and oblong, typically staying green at maturity, though some may show hints of red blush or yellow. Its pale yellow flesh contains a touch of fiber and is celebrated for an exceptionally sweet, sugar-cane-like flavor that stands out among mango varieties. The trees are reliable mid-season producers, with fruit ripening from late June through July.
