Native to Andhra Pradesh, India, particularly the East Godavari district, Panchadara Kalasa is a small-to-medium mango named for its “sugar pot” shape and exceptionally sweet flavor. The fruit has thick skin and juicy, soft flesh with short, tender fibers, making it ideal for eating fresh by squeezing or sucking out the juice. Closely related to the Chinna Rasalu mango, it is prized for its intensely sweet, aromatic flavor. The trees are moderately vigorous and require care against powdery mildew, especially in humid conditions.
