Originating from Thailand, this variety is often enjoyed mature-green, offering a crisp texture reminiscent of an apple. The fruit is small to medium in size, oblong-sigmoid in shape, and turns yellow at full maturity. The medium-firm flesh is light yellow, slightly fibrous, and exceptionally sweet, showcasing the classic Thai mango floral and honey notes with very low acidity. The seed is polyembryonic. Some fruits can develop physiological issues like skin cracking or stem-end rot, which may affect marketability.
The trees are moderately vigorous, with a spreading and dense canopy. Pim Sen Mun is an early-season variety in Florida, typically ripening from May through June.
