Val-Carrie is a Florida mango believed to be a natural cross between Valencia Pride and Carrie, selected as a chance seedling by the Zill family in Boynton Beach, Florida.

The fruit is oblong, medium-sized, and turns a light yellow at maturity. The flesh is soft, orange-yellow, and completely fiberless, containing a monoembryonic seed.

Val-Carrie is known for its intense aroma and bold flavor profile. The flavor carries strong Carrie-like terpenes, but is sweeter and spicier, sometimes even showing a distinct bubblegum note. The intensity can be polarizing, yet it is especially well-liked by people accustomed to Indian and West Indian (Alphonso-type) mango flavors.

Trees are moderately vigorous with a somewhat upright growth habit and can be trained easily. Some mature trees remain relatively compact. Production is generally moderate, and the variety remains under-planted and often overlooked despite its unique qualities.

Val-Carrie shows good resistance to anthracnose and bacterial black spot and has a better shelf life than Carrie. It ripens early to mid-season, typically from June through July in Florida.
