Winters is a Florida mango selection made by the United States Department of Agriculture in the 1950s and is reported to be a Glenn seedling.
The fruit are small in size with attractive coloration. Flesh is fiberless, smooth, and carries a pleasant Indochinese-style flavor that is clean and sweet without heaviness. Eating quality is considered very good for its size.
The tree shows moderate vigor with a balanced growth habit and has demonstrated excellent disease resistance, making it a reliable option in areas with higher fungal pressure.
Winters is a mid-season mango in Florida, with most fruit ripening in July.
